Sangama was established in 1994 by a group of like-minded Kannadigas, based around Pittsburgh. Since then, it has developed into a community which caters to the cultural roots of Kannadigas in the Greater Pittsburgh Region of Pennsylvania.
Sangama has been organizing regular events, celebrations and cultural drives; thereby, has been instrumental in bringing a vast population of Kannadigas settled around the region together.
Sangama intends to achieve the above objectives by -
-
Providing a single point of contact for Information & know-how for Kannadigas arriving into the Pittsburgh Region
-
Providing a platform for talents and exhibits depicting Kannada and culture
-
Providing due support and promotion of values and rich heritage of our erstwhile Kannada roots
-
Organizing meaningful and culturally relevant events
-
Bringing Kannadigas together for key festivals, events and celebrations
Our 'brand new' web portal is a reflection of rejuvenated ideas and a new-found sense of community among Pittsburgh Kannadigas. Our logo [designed and developed by Vinay Venkatesh, Cultural Secy. 2015-16] in particularly, is a tribute for this vibrant city, its culture and the people who helped us build this community from its grass roots.
